Rules

General Rules:

#CyberWorld is an English Preferred language channel. If you feel it’s necessary, you can speak another language in Private Messages or on another channel. No exceptions.
Do NOT message or query the Operators at ANY time. If you need their assistance, please for help in the main channel window.
Keep your language clean, it is possible that there are young people in the channel, or reading over an adults shoulder.
This is a family channel. Absolutely no obscene or offensive Nicknames.
No Flooding or Spamming the channel.
No advertising other IRC channels or Auto Invites.
No Auto greets on channel join or exit, only LifeBot is available to do this.
Do not use all CAPS when posting a message. Using all CAPS in chat or even in e-mail is considered yelling and it is very rude.
Use your best judgment, be pleasant and polite. Avoid being rude and obnoxious.
Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Do not harass chatters based on their culture, religious beliefs, or gender.
No asking for Ops or for Voice. Just don’t do it..

STRATEGY

All chatters are required to use common sense and good judgment, if you do not, you could find yourself gagged, kicked or banned from the channel. Think twice, type once. Banning is at the sole discretion of the Ops. The Channel owner asks that all Ops use their best judgment and requires them to be patient and diplomatic. In the event you are treated unfairly, well, you will know that you acted like a decent human. How to become Op? If you spend a good amount of time as a responsible member of #CyberWorld, have a good participation record, and show good IRC technical ability you may be invited to be a Channel Operator by the Channel Owner. If you ask an Op or ask in the main room for Ops, it will never happen. Channel Operator’s are invited, period. We repeat, DO NOT ASK FOR OPS it is a waste of your time and our Ops time WARNING! No one should ever ask you for your password, EVER. DALnet operators nor channel operators will ever ask for it. If someone has asked you for your password they are likely bad people, robots, or drones, DO NOT GIVE YOUR PASSWORD TO ANYONE no matter how official they may sound!

Policy

AOp’s Policy:

I as founder of the channel, here by inform you that: please never ask for @, that will be nothing result but you lose your chance to get @ anytime. Just be regular and spend plenty of time with us as #CyberWorld’s member The Operators of #CyberWorld have come to be a family. The rules you find here are just really for those times when we need something in writing to show what should have happened. Rules are made because someone takes advantage of a situation in which everyone has shown common sense for so far. Common sense is what we really like to see.
We don’t Operators people who ask for @. In fact this will probably just get you kicked from the channel.
We don’t Operators people because they are “Experienced” or because they have @ on other channels. This may even go against you. We want Operators who will chat and participate on #CyberWorld, not Operators who set their script on in 6 channels….. That is what BOTs are for.
If you do not gain @ the first time you are nominated, this does not mean you cannot be considered next time. Operators cast their votes according to the “need” for new @. This may change from time to time due to the number of Current Operators.
Operators’ votes are held as the need arises. Please do not continually message Operators asking when the next vote is being held. The Channel Administrator will convene a vote when he/she believes a vote is necessary. Harassing the Operators or the Founder WILL get your nomination revoked.
The English language is enforced, other languages do it privately. Keep in your mind we need operators not the bot.

SOp’s Policy:

SOps are the job as most senior Operators or Admin of the channel next to founder / Co-Founder “Managers”.
As Founder I suggest never asks for SOps, we only add when #CyberWorld needs SOps.
Don’t wish for SOps it’s really a big crap, for SOps two weeks ilde they will lose their status.
SOps should have the experience as a real admin, must be so polite with other operators and clean record. If any Operator got complaint against a SOp result immediately removal.
